Like all AI project, data collection is needed. Treating health improvement program as a sports science requires basic information such as heart rate, and training regime logs.
I have started knowing nothing of the metrics other than using intuitively data gathered from smart devices such as the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro which I had bought in late June 2025.
It is a commitment to start a healthy lifestyle; as a sunken cost fallacy to start working out using data driven motivation for self-improvement.

Hence, from the Mi Fitness apps, some telemetry which will be crucial to measure health using cardio are chosen.
From the Mi Fitness workout, here are the example of chosen telemetry.

Date, Workout type, Duration, Distance, Average BPM, Maximum BPM.
To determine the intensity defined by the app which is based on age of user are; duration of light, intensive, aerobic, Anaerobic of the sessions.
Next, from the Mi Fitness heart rate, gather all days, add additional field such as if its a work out day or not a workout day.

Next, collect the telemetry for 30days.
In this experiment, I have collected end of June to end of July. Have the stats uploaded and ask the AI specific question such as below.

For folks that has not done any dieting or health improvement experience, AI will recommend for the user if they are interested to create a dietary plan. Even for experienced user like me, it can be used to access if the current user diet plan are correct.
